Who will benefit? Fluid Power professional with understanding of fluid power principles, D.C. electrical theory, control and network principles. IFPS strongly recommends that the candidate consider gaining both the Hydraulic Specialist and Pneumatic Specialist certifications prior to seeking ECS certification. Applicants should be fully studied and prepared to take the test prior to this review. Test application must be received at IFPS Headquarters at least 30 days prior to your requested test date. What is it about? This is a review course for the International Fluid Power Society’s Electronic Control Specialist Certification. This certification is designed to review and test understanding, specification, and application of the full breadth of electronics used in the fluid power industry, from simple sensors and limits to HMIs, controllers, and networks. It includes a brief review of applicable pneumatic and hydraulic principles and in-depth examples of the electronics for both mobile and industrial fluid power equipment. The Electronic Controls Specialist certification requires a three (3) hour written test.
