Who will benefit?

Any and all fluid power industry professionals, maintenance technicians, machine operators, and sales representatives that have attended CFC’s Level I Industrial Hydraulics Training Course or possess equivalent knowledge and real-world experience.

What is it about?

This component and control level course will incorporate component symbols learned in Level I into complete schematics representing various functions. Remote control of pressure valves using pilot valves, bleed off orifices, and proportional controls will be discussed. Simultaneous control of multiple actuators while maintaining pressure and flow requirements will be reviewed. Operation and setup of load sense pumps will be demonstrated. Slip-in and screw-in cartridge valve design and operation will be presented. Proportional directional control valve function and use will be introduced.

What is included?

Written Materials: CFC Custom Training Binder, CFC Advanced Hydraulic Lab Book
Equipment: CFC Hydraulic Double Sided Trainer, CFC Proportional/Servo Valve Trainer, Take-Apart/Cut-Away Components

OBJECTIVES:

  • Determine pressure required to move load at a given pressure
  • Compare area ratios for speed and force output as well as output flows
  • Determine actuator speeds for given flow and size
  • Use cylinder’s extend and retract to determine flow rates
  • Explain remote control techniques for relief, reducing, sequence, counterbalance, and unloading valves
  • Compare pressure compensated vs. non-compensated flow control circuits
  • Review meter-in versus meter out operations and learn how to reduce or eliminate pressure intensification problems
  • Identify/classify the different types of the different types of hydraulic pump controls
  • Adjust procedures for pressure compensating, load sensing, and power limiting controls
  • Explain diagnostic procedures for variable displacement pumps
  • Compare slip-in and screw-in cartridge valves and review circuits
  • Use slip-in cartridges and pilot valve to replace a two stage directional valve
  • Demonstrate manifold troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic schematics to aid in diagnostics of machines
  • Evaluate machine response and performance with multiple simultaneous operations

Confirmation & Cancellation Policy:

In-House Training Policy:• Each class is subject to a minimum enrollment of six (6) participants, which may be comprised of attendees from multiple organizations. If the minimum enrollment is not met prior to the scheduled date, CFC may reschedule the class to an alternative available date, in consultation with affected clients.• A valid Purchase Order (PO) is required to secure class seat(s). Purchase Orders must be submitted to [email protected] and must reference the applicable class name and scheduled dates.• Class seats are allocated in the order in which valid Purchase Orders are received.• The quoted course fee will be invoiced on the final day of the course and is due Net 30 from the invoice date.• Credit card payments are subject to an additional three percent (3%) processing fee.• Cancellation and rescheduling charges apply once a Purchase Order has been issued and class dates have been secured, as follows:  – Two (2) weeks’ notice: CFC reserves the right to invoice for any non-recoverable costs incurred, including but not limited to travel, lodging, and associated change or cancellation fees.  – Less than two (2) weeks’ notice: Seventy-five percent (75%) of the total quoted amount.  – Less than one (1) week’s notice: One hundred percent (100%) of the total quoted amount.  – For classes scheduled to commence on a Monday, cancellation notice must be received by the preceding Friday no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time (nine (9) calendar days prior).• Cancellation charges are calculated based on the full quoted amount.  Additional costs arising from airline or hotel cancellations or changes will be invoiced at cost.• All applicable cancellation charges will be invoiced at the time of cancellation and are due Net 30 from the invoice date.
